Welcome to ReMe Ocracoke and Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Your rocking chain awaits!

Our Soundfront Inn on Ocracoke is absolute perfection in its location, its history, and its simplicity.  It would take days to list all the ways that we love it, and we've found it to be the perfect location for our Flagship ReMe Retreats.

We begin each of our ReMe Retreats with a warm welcome and an evening filled with food and art.  This year, we had the good fortune to begin our ReMe Retreat on May 4th.  To some, it might have been just-another-Monday; to us it was Cinco-de-Mayo-Eve.  As our guests began to arrive that afternoon, the quiet calm of the house was transformed into one that was filled with laughter and conversation as we connected, reconnected, and shed the cares of daily life.

Before...
We began our time together with tours of The Island and Inn.  Then, as dinner time arrived, so did the Amazing Eduardo of Eduardo's Taco Stand.  Eduardo's is so much more than a taco stand, and Eduardo himself has become a dear friend of us individually and of our ReMe Retreats.  His food is authentic, made with the freshest ingredients; and created with great love on the most beautiful pottery platters.  Eduardo outdid himself on our behalf, and we appreciated every.  last.  bite.
...after!

At ReMe, we're not likely to limit any celebration to just one day, so our Cinco de Mayo fun continued on May 5th with frozen Margarita's, fresh squeezed limeade, and a pinata of the artsy kind at sunset.  To say that we acted like a bunch of kids would be an understatement!  Videos abound of the fun that we had with that pinata.  (You'll have to leave it to your imagination as sometimes what happens at ReMe stays at ReMe!)

The Pinata's name is Pedro.  It's rumored that he's living in New England now,
and that his adventures continued long after our time together.
More details about our most recent ReMe Experience to follow this week.
Please stay tuned!
